customers by default. Still, if you have an important reason which, blocks you from configuring an automated payment method for your STARTER
or BUSINESS
plans, please reach out to our support team.Multiple payment methods
Generally, you can configure multiple payment methods in the Flexopus Portal. You can set an organization's default payment method.
Currency in EUR
The payment processing will be made in Euro. We do not offer invoices in any other currency at the moment.
Payment methods
Flexopus offers currently the following payment methods:
Credit card
For the online credit card payments, you can use the following card types:
- MasterCard
European Economic Area Consumer Cards
European Economic Area Commercial Cards
Non-European Economic Area Cards - VISA
European Economic Area Consumer Cards
European Economic Area Commercial Cards
Non-European Economic Area Cards - American Express
Worldwide - Cartes Bancaires
- CartaSi
The charges for the credit card payment are included in the subscription fees.
SEPA
You can configure a SEPA, which is mainly an available payment option for the European countries.
We prefer SEPA payments, since it's a cheaper payment solution compared to a credit card payment. A SEPA transfer costs approximately 0,25 EUR per transaction. A credit card payment is usually 1,5-3,5% per payment. The costs are included in your subscription fee, still it worth mentioning. Still, you are free to choose any online payment option.
Direct payment / Bank transfer
A direct bank transfer to an invoice is only available for ENTERPRISE customers. We can also adapt the invoicing process to your company needs, in case you need a special order number, or you need to split the invoices.
PayPal (coming soon)
We are planning to offer a PayPal payment option in the future as well. Currently, it's not available.
Payment processing
The subscription management and the payment processing are two different systems. Flexopus uses a self-hosted subscription management solution. This system is managing the subscription plans and created the invoices. An external payment provider is used to:
- validate payment methods
- manage payment mandates
- execute the payment process
The external payment processor is storing only the limited necessary information to execute an online payment.
Mollie (EU based)
We use Mollie as a payment provider at Flexopus. We prefer using EU-based software solutions to comply as much as possible with the EU regulations, such as GDPR. Mollie is a payment provider located in the Netherlands.
Data transfer
The payment processor has access to limited data to execute to charge customers with a requested amount of money. The payment processor has no access to the invoices and subscription plans. The payment processor stores the configured payment methods of our customers and executes the payment that are requested by the self-managed subscription management software.
